Financial Assistance for Veterans
At Veteran Pathways of New England (formerly Clear Path for Veterans New England), we understand that unexpected financial hardships can quickly place Veterans and their families at risk of housing instability. Our Financial Assistance Program provides short-term, temporary support designed to help Veterans navigate difficult situations, maintain stable housing, and avoid homelessness.
Financial assistance is intended to provide immediate relief during times of crisis while helping Veterans connect with long-term resources and support services that encourage lasting stability and self-sufficiency.
Temporary Financial Assistance
Eligible Veterans may qualify for temporary financial assistance to address urgent financial needs that threaten housing stability or create significant hardship. Assistance is designed to be flexible, supportive, and focused on preventing larger crises before they occur.
Depending on eligibility and individual circumstances, financial assistance may help cover:
- Past due rent or temporary rental assistance
- Utility payments to prevent shut-offs
- Security deposits and move-in costs
- Emergency transportation assistance
- Temporary housing-related expenses
- Other short-term emergency financial needs
Our goal is to provide timely support that helps Veterans stabilize their situation while working toward long-term housing and financial security.

Preventing Homelessness and Housing Instability
Unexpected events such as job loss, medical emergencies, reduced income, family challenges, or rising living costs can place Veterans at immediate risk of losing stable housing. Temporary financial assistance acts as a safety net during these critical moments, helping Veterans remain safely housed while they regain stability.
By addressing urgent financial barriers early, the program helps reduce the risk of eviction, homelessness, and long-term financial hardship.
Supporting Long-Term Stability
Financial assistance is only one part of a larger support system. Veterans receiving assistance may also be connected with additional programs and community resources focused on housing stability, employment, wellness, benefits navigation, and case management support.
Our team works closely with Veterans to identify solutions that not only address immediate needs but also help build a stronger foundation for the future.
Compassionate, Veteran-Centered Support
Every Veteran’s situation is unique. Our staff takes a compassionate and individualized approach, working directly with Veterans to understand their needs, assess available resources, and identify the most appropriate forms of assistance and support.
We are committed to helping Veterans move through difficult moments with dignity, respect, and the support they deserve.
