CEO Corner

As we move through 2026, I want to take a moment—on behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, and most importantly, the Veterans and families we serve—to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support of Veteran Pathways of New England (formerly Clear Path for Veterans New England).

Your partnership, trust, and belief in our mission continue to drive transformational impact across New England. Because of you, Veterans are finding stability, connection, and renewed purpose during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Investing in Those Who Served

When you think about supporting a nonprofit organization, I encourage you to think about impact before anything else. Think about lives changed, families reunited, Veterans housed, hope restored, and communities strengthened. Then, I invite you to think about Veteran Pathways of New England.

Over the past nine years, our organization has grown from a simple vision into one of the region’s leading Veteran service organizations. We have never measured our success by the size of our buildings or the number of employees. Instead, we measure success by the Veteran who no longer sleeps in their car, the family that remains together because they have stable housing, the service member who receives the benefits they earned, and the individual who discovers that they are not alone in their journey.

Every dollar donated to Veteran Pathways represents far more than a financial contribution. It is an investment in someone’s future. It provides emergency housing assistance for a Veteran facing eviction. It puts food on the table for a military family in crisis. It helps provide transportation to medical appointments, connects Veterans to employment opportunities, and supports wellness programs that reduce isolation while building lasting relationships.

Today, our reach extends throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, serving thousands of Veterans and their families each year. Our team works every day to ensure that no Veteran falls through the cracks. Whether someone needs immediate housing, financial assistance, peer support, wellness programming, benefits navigation, or simply someone willing to listen, Veteran Pathways stands ready to answer the call.

What makes our organization different is our belief that every Veteran’s journey is unique. There is no single solution that fits everyone. That is why we have built a continuum of services that meet Veterans where they are and help guide them toward lasting stability. We do not simply address today’s crisis. We help create tomorrow’s opportunities.

The impact of this work is only possible because of an incredible community of supporters. Individual donors, businesses, foundations, volunteers, and community partners all play a critical role in making our mission possible. Every act of generosity, whether large or small, creates opportunities that change lives.

As we continue to grow, our vision is expanding as well. We are developing additional permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, Veteran resource centers, wellness initiatives, and innovative programs designed to ensure that every Veteran has access to the services they need to thrive. These projects are ambitious because the need continues to grow, and we believe our Veterans deserve nothing less.

As a Marine Corps Veteran and someone who once experienced homelessness myself, this mission is deeply personal. I understand firsthand how quickly life can change and how important it is to have someone willing to extend a hand instead of turning away. That experience drives me every day to ensure that other Veterans have the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and hope.

Supporting Veteran Pathways is more than making a donation. It is becoming part of a movement dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of those who have worn our nation’s uniform. Together, we are building stronger communities while ensuring that those who defended our freedoms receive the support they have earned.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and most importantly, the thousands of Veterans and families whose lives have been touched by this mission, thank you for believing in our work.

Because of you, hope continues to grow. Together, we are creating pathways that lead Veterans home.

Semper Fidelis,

Jason Gilbert
